Boast the Coast Maritime Festival AND Groundbreaking for Our New Museum

Join us at 10AM October 4th for a whole day of Maritime Festivities.
We’re thrilled to start the day with the groundbreaking on the new Overfalls Foundation’s new museum building — a major step toward preserving and showcasing the rich maritime history of Lewes and the Delaware coast.
Special guests including Mayor Amy Marasco and State Senator Russ Huxtable will be on hand — and on shovels — as we celebrate this exciting milestone.
The new museum will feature an impressive display of Lewes and Delaware maritime history, including artifacts, stories of seafarers, shipbuilding, and life on the bay. It will be a lasting tribute to our coastal heritage — and a destination for locals and visitors alike!Come be a part of this historic moment!
The Ship will be open will be open for free tours between 10 AM and 4 PM as part of the University of Delaware Coast Day and Lewes’ Boast the Coast Maritime Festival.
